Hello, and welcome to DecentSecrets, a place for interesting and unique secrets from anonymous peoples. We are a community for sharing and telling secrets, but there is a catch; we only accept secrets that we find interesting and outside the norm.

I'm sure you're asking 'Why do this? Shouldn't all secrets be accepted?'. Well, good madam or sir, we thought this once as well. We are a response to the community *DeviantArtSecret. We are watchers of that said community, but we have been noticing all the secrets are very similar and very bland. We have been watchers for about a year and we have seen the decrease of truly interesting secrets. Don't get us wrong, it is a great community and we are in no means bashing them. We started this community to allow members the entertainment to view interesting, witty, and original whispers of anonymous hearts. So, it goes without saying we do have an acceptance policy and we will enforce it. We are two members and we will do this ourselves. We will accept secrets we see fit.


But here are guidelines to interesting secrets!!

- Let's be honest, relationship secrets are pretty much the same and just get monotonous. Unless you think your relationship secret is extremely interesting then we don't suggest sending it.
- No personal bashing. ie I HATE YOU, YOU'RE A BITCH, NO ONE LIKES YOU, ect. We really don't see these as secrets. More like anonymous bashings. We don't appreciate call outs either. If you don't like a specific person, be it an artist or writer or whatever, we don't need to know.
- No shipping secrets! We do accept secrets that involve fandom (TV shows, anime, books, ect) but please. No shipping secrets (example; I SHIP BOB AND TOM FROM SO AND SO LIKE BURNINGGGG). A good site for these secrets would be [link] but they really don't appreciate those much anyway. have fun.
- No excessive gory or sexual secrets. Along with this, no horribly racist secrets either, same with overtly homophobic secrets. We really don't like sexist secrets either, but hey, we're kind of lenient on those. If it's possible, try not to offend people to the hundredth degree.
(we're willing to upload secrets that may offend us, but keep a sense of decency in mind)
- We don't mind profanity and we are 100% against censorship. We will put mature warnings on secrets with certain words, but don't be scared to use profanity in your secrets. Keep it in mind though, it's not really needed to put a curse word in a secret, let's say, eighteen times.


How to Submit a secret:

First, upload your secret to a common imaging sharing site like TinyPic or ImageShack. Then, send us the direct link to your secret in either a note or, if you wish to remain truly anonymous, send it to our email address: dadecentsecrets@gmail.com
Your DA account will not be linked back to your secret. However, if you'd like to, you can reply to comments on your secret using our secret-teller account.
